This studio had an unusual two-part structure. We were first tasked with constructing a lamp of any kind. My goal was to create an elegant, material-efficient design, so I chose birch plywood for both its structural and aesthetic character. After the midterm, we were tasked with translating our designs into architecture. I reinterpreted the lamp's cantilevered arm as a functional cable-stayed roof, creating an open horizontal plane free of interior support. The structure itself cantilevers from the bluff, emphasizing the open, uninterrupted space. Each window is a glass pivot door, allowing the facade to open fully and blur the boundary between interior and exterior.

Both projects were completed individually. Modelling was done in Rhino and rendering was completed in Twinmotion.
