The Market Street Book store was a short project, lasting only three weeks. The narrow site, paired with the significant slope, was a great introduction to efficiency in circulation. By creating a structural core that stacks all of the "back of house" functions, the space can remain open vertically to compensate for the narrow profile. Separating the second floor from the walls to create a floating mezzanine reinforces this verticality, allowing users to look from the ground up to the roof from the first floor.
This project was solo and marks my first experience with Revit.
