Project Description

At 1223', Watermark is the largest project I have had the chance to design. This project was the result of an integrated design studio, where we placed extra emphasis on researching and integrating more fleshed out structural, mechanical, and curtain wall systems. The goal of the project for us was to take three very different programs and make make them work together while still celebrating their differences. We chose to accentuate the split in programing in a way that still felt sculptural and cohesive. In the programming, we wanted to add as many green gathering spaces as we possibly could into the the design. Every three hotel and residential floors have a shared sky garden that allows for a vertical neighborhood feeling, enabling socialization outside of your immediate neighbors.

This project was completed in a pair. My focus was on exterior and site design and modeling, as well as the integration of green spaces. I am also responsible for all renderings, diagrams, graphic representation, and board layouts. My partner modeled the two dimensional floorplans in AutoCad. The project was completed in Rhino and I used D5 to render.
